Wow. Where to begin. I want to thank everyone for coming out to the 10th Anniversary JCO Bash. It was a great success. My decision about stepping down was a hard one. But I feel it's time for someone with some fresh ideas to take over this club and continue to forge ahead into the future.

I want to tell you, I was very touched by the extra round of applause after my announcement. I had thought I was doing a good job and taking the club in the right direction. And at that moment, you confirmed it. Which makes all the hard work I put in absolutely worth it! I won’t be going far. I'll still be a part of this club. You will be in good hands when Matt officially takes over. I may continue on as Bash Co-Ordinator, but we’ll see.

Thank you to all who came out and supported this event. Without you, there would be no reason to do it. I want to thank my exec. They volunteer a lot of there time to not only help me run the club, but organize the Bash. I want to thank Evan and the boys for sticking it out in the heat and running the audio comp. A huge Thank You to GM Canada who invest a lot into our show. I can’t say enough about my contact this year at GM, Ray Cheng. He has to endure so much red tape to try and get things done to be at this show. A big thank you to Suzanne, George, Natalie and all the other GM staff who volunteered their weekend to come help with our event. Thanks to Kevin Eng aka "DJ Enstinct" for spinning the wheels for us all day. Great mixes man. Thanks to Edmund for bringing out the Top Tuner Sky. It was a real treat to see that car up close at a little show like ours. Thank you also to Bob Kern, my contact for GM in the USA. HE put a lot of those show cars on the truck last minute for us and sent them up. Sorry he couldn’t make the show. A huge Thank You to St Thomas dragway for the hospitality. You once again made it very easy to pull the show off successfully. Thanks Greg Roy for your help to with the racing. Thank you to the media (National Post, Auto 123, TSN's "Motoring") that came out. It means a lot to us to have you there to give our little club its 15 minutes of fame. Thank you to all the sponsors who helped out with donations and prizes. Including Performance Improvements, Apple Auto Glass, Olympia RV Park and many others. I can’t forget to thank the Comfort Inn St-Thomas - they really do put up with a lot from us and our event (we will have the entire hotel next year!). Thank you to "My October" and "Hells Bells" for rocking out for us on Friday night - it was just awesome! Hey, I can’t forget to thank those Americans for coming out and giving away the "Americanadian Best In Show" award.

Finally, once again, Thank You to the members and the participants of this event. Without your support it just wouldn’t happen. I’m proud to be associated with such and awesome group of people. I hope you enjoyed your weekend at the 10th Annual JCO Bash and GM small car show.

Have a great summer, stay safe, and I look forward to the 11th JCO Bash next summer.

Mr. Corby Loft
